This song may be suited for a character who wanders, searches, or feels lost, having recently escaped the confines of the past. I had an archetype in mind: namely, the protagonist who breaks away from the familiar to find themself in an unfamiliar situation. (An archetype invoked by "Oliver" (Oliver!), as well as by many a Disney protagonist ("Belle," "Ariel," "Simba," etc.).)
